Demon Tattoos

Demon Tattoos

Demon Tattoos are considered terrifying inks to have on the body. Most people associate wearers of this type of tattoo with Satanists, however, the majority of them are not. They are simply people who are looking for the unique look that tattoos of demons can offer. In olden times, the Greeks saw demons (‘daimons’) as deities. However, in the progressive era of Jews, Muslims and Catholics, demons were categorized as evil spirits. Some of the most popular forms of demon tattoos are those that involve Satan, who is said to be the leader of all malevolent creatures in the world. Also known as Lucifer, he was a fallen angel who was excommunicated from heaven because of his arrogance and narcissism. Most tattoos of demons illustrate the red-faced, two-horned Satan. When inked as a whole body, he is seen with a trident and a pointed tail.

As for the Japanese, tattoos of demons aremore symbolic. One of the most popular designs is that of Inuyasha, a demon dog. Other designs include raccoons and foxes, which were seen as swindlers and charlatans. While most demon tattoos are literal descriptions of malicious creatures, some designs symbolize the beliefs of every culture and civilization. Some tattoos are not demonic, so to speak. They just represent the evil behind everyday activities.
