Shaded Moon Background

Submitted design #371118

Here you are, I shaded that moon-background and cleaned it up a bit!
Hope you love it as much as I do!

I love it!! Yes slightly more shading to the back of the moon would be great. Thank you so much!!

Submitted design #371106

Here it is with the slightly wider rays and darker shading behind them. Anything else before the time runs out? Like should I give the background of the moon a slightly darker shade too or is it fine the way it is?
Thanks!

#371086

I love it!! Just a couple things though. Can I see what it looks like if the rays have just a tiny bit more width to them? And maybe slightly more shading in the background of the sun. If you have time to do so that would be great!!

Shortened Length

Submitted design #371086

Hi, here's how it looks with the rays a tad bit shortened! Nice suggestion, I really love how this came out!
Anything else just let me know.
And thanks again, this was a blast to create!

#371053

I think this is the one!! I love it! The single thing that I would maybe want changed is to see the sun rays just a little bit shorter. But otherwise seems perfect!!!

Stars 3

Submitted design #371053

And this one I did a different style of star, and in the middle of the background instead. Any changes, questions or suggestions, just let me know!
Thanks & have a good one

Stars 2

Submitted design #371051

This is that same entry, but I added one more star passed the top right tip of the crescent for a more connected look.

Stars 1

Submitted design #371048

Here is that entry but with the added stars. I put them curving around the outer edge of the moon, and kept them only against the crescent shape.

Extra Shading

Submitted design #371044

Hey there, here's that one entry with the shadings you asked. I darkened up the moon and sun and included the lightly shaded backgrounds. Anything darker or is that better?
I'll also be submitting it with the added stars shortly!

Response

You got it, I can easily do that for you!
I'll submit that first one you asked of the extra shadings, then I'll probably end up submitting a couple versions of how it would look with little stars around the moon, not just one version, because design/pattern-wise, I can show you a few different stylings/set-ups there :)
Just a quick Q, do you have a preference for the way these little stars should look, like should they look like mini versions of that main star we've been working on? (Without the shooting trail of course) Or would you rather more simple, minimalistic stars?
You know what, I'll just show you how both styles look for now & you can go from there.
I'll try to have these in for you as soon as possible. Thanks!

#371005

Hi! I really love #371005!

I think I’d like to see a tad more shading on the moon and star part. Can I see what it would look like just as it is but with slightly more shading on the moon and star?

I think the semi colon shape is great.

As for the light shade in the background behind the rays and the moon like in the original design, I’d love to see that implemented! I like having that light shading in the background.

Can I also see a version that includes the above extra shading of the moon, star, and backgrounds but also with a couple small stars around it?

So overall, 2 more versions of #371005 if you possibly can.
(1) One with slight extra shading on the moon and star + light shading in the background of both the moon and the sun rays just like you did in the original design
(2) a second one with all the add ons from (1) but that also includes some small stars around the moon.

Let me know if this is too much or if you also have suggestions! And thank you!!

4th Submission

Submitted design #371005

This is the other design I mentioned! I extended the rays past the outline so you have your rays' longer length AND the semicolon looking a bit more cohesive, & more up against the moon/star. I also took into account all the levels of shade you asked for. What do you think? Do you prefer this design over the other, and if so is there anything I could change or add?
Thanks!

3rd Submission

Submitted design #371004

Hi there, here's the next version!
Ok, I did my best to find the middle shade for that moon, and darkened up the sun as it was in the 1st, and lightened up that outline, but would you like the shading a tad bit darker or lighter anywhere?
Also, if you look closely at that 1st original design, you notice how I added a faint outline over the tips/points of the sun's rays? Would you like to see this implemented?
And, is the bottom half of the semicolon outline okay, or would you like to see it more closer against the moon & star? Or perhaps would you like to see little stars curving around the moon taking up that space? And maybe have the outline slightly curve more closely around the trail of the shooting star? Or just add the little stars & leave the outline as is, or vice versa. Tell me what you think. That space is there because I tried keeping both your preference for the matching circumferences and the entire shape of the semicolon outline in mind. But of course, if you like it as is, that's fine too!
Oh also, in that very 1st design, you notice how I added a light shade in the background behind the rays, & in the background of the moon? Would you like to see that as well?
Thanks a lot!
I'm also going to be sending you another design I did to see if you like it after I submit this one.

Yeah I like the first sun, the shading and rays and everything. Thanks! Look forward to seeing what you come up with :)

Response

Yes, I completely understand, thanks for the thorough explanation!
Just one clarification: You're ok with the Sun & Moon having matching circumferences like in the 2nd design, but you would like the sun to look more like the 1st design, meaning with longer rays? Sorry bout that, the 2nd sun's rays came out short like that because I was trying to contain it in a proper semicolon shape, but as I'm looking at it, I believe I see how I could change it more to your liking!
Otherwise, everything else is understood.
I can have this next version ready for you tomorrow!
Thanks again-

Re: 2nd submissoin

Oh, and as for the outline shading of the semicolon shape, I think I like the first design better where the outline is a bit more subtle, at least from my perspective. So if you could implement that as well in the new design that would be great :)

Re: 2nd submissoin

Thanks again for the designs!

I think I actually like the look of the original design with the darker shading of the sun and moon. I think the sun in the first design is more what I would want, so if you could use that one to try and resize with the second moon and star design that would be great :)

I'm a bit torn on the shading of the moon and star. I think the shading of the first sun design was perfect but that the moon and star was a bit dark, but I also think the second moon and star was a bit too light. Would you mind trying to shade just the moon and star so that it’s kind of an in-between of the two? Not as dark as the first design but not as light as the second either.

So (1) keep the sun from the first design as is, just resize it to match the moon and star of the second design (I do like that you added a bit more of a curve to the moon crescent there), then (2) change the shading of that second moon and star design so that the degree of shading is somewhat of a middle of the two moon and star designs.

Let me know if you have more questions or suggestions as well :)

Submitted design #370943

Hey there, I took everything you said into account & this is what I came up with so far! And you were right, I really like your idea on making the sun's circumference to match the moon.
Anything you want me to change or add, or if you changed your mind and want to see it another way, don't hesitate to ask.
By the way, thanks for your feedback!
I notice most clients here fail to interact with the artists so it's immensely appreciated!!

I'm fine with the way that the star is connected to the moon. And I actually love the trail of the shooting star. Maybe just a bit less bulky, but doesn't need to be wispy like the example. I look forward to seeing what you come up with!!

Greetings!
Awesome, I'm glad you like it. I'll definitely try to do what you asked, thanks for providing that image, it helps a lot.
Just a couple questions. You see how the trail of the shooting star is connected to the tip of the moon in mine? Would you like to see it more separated like in the example you provided? Or I can easily show you both ways too if you are unsure. Also, is the trail of the shooting star good, or would you like to see it less bulky & more wispy like in your example?
Thanks again & I hope you're having a good day!

Hi, I love this design!!! I love it’s simplicity and the shading looks just fine. I like the slight outline you’ve made to highlight the semicolon - there, but subtle, which is perfect. However, I can I see what it would look like if the center circle of the sun was the same size of the moon crescent? Kind of similar to the sample imagine I provided. I know it might be hard to have them align correctly but if you can find a way to make it work, that’d be great :)

Submitted design #370859

Hey there, hope all is well!
Here's my first submission for what you requested. Anything you like? Anything I can possibly change for you if there's something you don't like? Would you like more simplistic shading, maybe on that shooting star for example? Just let me know!
Suicide prevention is an extremely personal and important topic to me, and the Sun & Moon are my two favorite things in the Cosmos, and are also very personal to me so I enjoy this idea a TON!
Thanks for the opportunity!
